Is Financial Analyst/FP&A true finance though? It seems more like management accounting to me. When I think of 'Finance', I think of investment and corporate bankers, private equity and hedge fund analysts, credit rating analysts or those that work in M&A/corporate development.

I forwarded a link to this video to my grandson who is about to begin studies at a business school. He is interested in accounting and finance, but doesn't have a clear understanding of how a career in one of those disciplines would differ from a career in the other.
